What if we told you that there is an AI which produces real photographs of people who don’t even exist? In 2014, Ian Goodfellow, a researcher from Google, created the generative adversarial network or Nets (GAN) that generates two neural networks, one of which creates an image and the other judges it on the basis of the original images available in its system. 

Approximately 9 out of 10 times, GAN creates realistic photos and around 50% of them are so real that even professional photographers fail to differentiate between genuine and AI-generated images.

As of now it plays only one song, but it isn’t about listening to a song, it’s about AI awesomeness. This is more a technological marvel, than an artistic one.

Using the complex ML algorithm called t-SNE, Google was able to create a software that allows you to make beats from thousands of everyday sounds. Google claims it hasn’t cataloged anything, the coders there just fed the system thousands of sound samples and the AI was able to differentiate between them and organised them in such a way that similar sounds are placed in the same area. All you have to do is choose the sounds of your choice and start creating magic! 

With the help of Tensorflow, Tone.js, and open-source tools from the Magenta project, creators were able to make a software which responds to piano notes. This ML-based website doesn’t require you to have a sound knowledge of piano, you just need to try the keys and voila… it responds back to complete the note, and believe us, it’s magical. 

You can use your computer keyboard to press the keys or connect your MIDI keyboard to get a more natural feel. 

Did you know that there is a website that allows you to draw your own creature and test if “it” can walk or not? Keiwan, developer of this ML-based simulator says that your imagination is the only limit. In this simulator, you can add joints, muscles and bones to see how the software learns to walk, run or jump by improving and understanding your design. 

The software uses an evolutionary algorithm to find the optimal solution of the “creature” you created with your imagination. It’s basically inspired by the biological evolution process and tries to walk/run your creature by trial and error method.
