CTO, Amazon.comDr. Werner Vogels is Chief Technology Officer at Amazon.com where he is responsible for driving the company's customer-centric technology vision.
As one of the forces behind Amazon's approach to cloud computing, he is passionate about helping young businesses reach global scale, and transforming enterprises into fast-moving digital organizations.Vogels joined Amazon in 2004 from Cornell University where he was a distributed systems researcher. He has held technology leadership positions in companies that handle the transition of academic technology into industry.
Vogels holds a PhD from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and has authored many articles on distributed systems technologies for enterprise computing.
Conor McNamara
Managing Director, ASEAN, AWSConor McNamara joined Amazon in 2014 and is currently the Managing Director of ASEAN at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he works with customers and partners across Southeast Asia as they innovate, scale, and transform their businesses via the AWS Cloud. As part of this mission, he is passionate about upskilling and enabling builders across the region as a pathway to unlocking accelerated social and economic growth for our diverse ASEAN community.
Conor has held several leadership positions during his time at AWS. He previously served as the APAC Head of Business Development, where he led the incubation of new AWS Services and Industry capabilities in the Asia Pacific region, while actively championing the rapidly evolving needs our APAC customers. He also previously led the AWS India business, where he focused on enabling and growing the local customer and partner community following the launch of the first AWS India region.
Phu, Nguyen Thi Trong
Chief Executive Officer, SmartPayPhu Nguyen is the CEO of SmartNet, a fintech company which provide universal payment platform of Vietnam. Founded in 2019, SmartNet has served more than 700,000 merchants and key accounts across Vietnam. Differing themselves from other service & e-wallet provider, their mission is to empower and enrich the lives of micro and small & medium enterprises. Going forward, SmartNet aims to create a sustainable ecosystem servicing payments and providing financial inclusion for more than 2 million of mSME merchants in Vietnam.
Prior to joining SmartNet, Phu Nguyen experienced in various positions in financial industry. She worked as Operation Manager in BankInvest Funding (now known as PENM Partners), and later Deputy CEO (AAA Insurance) and National Director (Marsh Vietnam). Her work is centered on partnership expansion, and sales network management. Being inspired of how finance can be transformed from technology innovation, she decides to shift her focus to fintech area. She persists in all efforts to bring more values to Vietnamese mSME merchants, and that is how she and SmartNet find things in common.
